Blue Connect is designed to operate for extended periods between charges. If you notice that the battery needs to be recharged more often than expected, the device may be experiencing communication issues that increase power consumption.
This does not necessarily indicate a fault with the device.
1. Check the Wi-Fi signal quality
A weak Wi-Fi signal can cause Blue Connect to use more energy while trying to maintain a connection.
If the Wi-Fi coverage around your pool is limited, battery consumption may increase.
2. Try placing the device in a different area of the pool
The quality of the Wi-Fi connection can vary depending on the location of the device in the pool.
Move Blue Connect to a different area and monitor whether the battery performance improves.
3. Improve Wi-Fi coverage near the pool
If the pool is located far from your router, consider installing a Wi-Fi repeater or extender closer to the pool area.
A stronger Wi-Fi signal can help reduce battery consumption.
4. Make sure the device is positioned correctly
Blue Connect should remain in a vertical position with the top part above the water surface.
If the top of the device is submerged, communication performance may be affected.
5. Check that the device is running the latest firmware
Firmware updates may include improvements to connectivity and battery performance.
If an update is available, follow the instructions in the Fluidra Pool app.
6. Fully recharge the battery
If the battery level is very low, fully recharge Blue Connect before continuing to use it.
Always charge the device according to the instructions provided in the user manual.
If the battery continues to drain unusually quickly after completing these checks, please contact your retailer or customer support.
