If your Blue Connect readings seem incorrect or unstable, several factors may affect measurement accuracy.
Follow the checks below.
1. Check the probe condition
Remove the device from the water.
Rinse the probe gently with clean water.
Remove any visible debris or buildup.
Do not scratch or brush the probe surface.
2. Make sure the device is fully submerged
Blue Connect must always remain in the water during operation.
If the device was left outside the water:
Measurements may become unstable.
The probe may dry out.
Place the device back in the pool and allow time for readings to stabilize.
3. Avoid measurements during shock treatment
Do not rely on measurements during shock chlorination.
Very high chlorine levels can temporarily affect ORP readings.
Wait until chlorine levels return to normal before checking values.
4. Ensure proper water circulation
For accurate results:
The pool pump should be running.
Water must circulate freely around the device.
Stagnant water may cause inconsistent readings.
5. Consider probe aging
Over time, probes naturally lose sensitivity.
If your Blue Connect has been in use for an extended period and readings remain unstable, probe replacement may be required.
