If your Freedom Lite climbs to the waterline and stays there, this is completely normal.
It is part of the robot’s end-of-cycle behavior, designed to make removal easier.
🔋 What happens at the end of a cleaning cycle?
When the battery level reaches approximately 15%, the robot will:
Stop active cleaning.
Climb to the waterline.
Wait there for up to 10 minutes.
This is called Waterline Waiting Mode.
It allows you to easily retrieve the robot without needing to dive or use a pole.
⏳ What if I don’t remove it?
If the robot is not removed within 10 minutes:
It will automatically return to the pool floor.
It will switch off to preserve battery.
📲 Will I receive a notification?
If your robot is connected to the Fluidra Pool App:
You may receive a notification on your phone
The app will indicate that the cycle is complete
Make sure notifications are enabled on your device.
🛟 How do I remove the robot correctly?
Attach the retrieval hook (included) to a standard pool pole.
Secure the hook onto the robot handle.
Bring the robot to the pool edge.
Lift it out vertically.
Hold it upright to allow water to drain back into the pool.
Place it on a dry surface.
Always let the robot dry before charging.
❗ Important
Do not pull the robot out by force.
Do not lift it by the brushes or tracks.
Always use the handle.
❓ What if it goes to the waterline too early?
If the robot climbs to the waterline shortly after starting:
Check the battery level.
If battery is low, the cleaning time will be shorter.
Make sure the robot is fully charged before starting a cycle.
This behavior is normal and ensures easy and safe removal after cleaning.
