The Blue Connect measures:

  • Water Temperature: Maintaining the correct pool temperature is critical because elevated temperatures can decrease chlorine's effectiveness and promote the growth of harmful microorganisms. Monitoring this helps pool owners optimize chlorine dosing.
  • pH Levels: pH is a measure of the water’s acidity or alkalinity. A balanced pH ensures effective chlorine disinfection and protects pool surfaces and equipment from corrosion or scaling.
  • ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential): ORP reflects the water’s ability to oxidize contaminants, essentially measuring how well the pool’s disinfectant is performing. This is critical for maintaining healthy and sanitized water.
  • Conductivity: This measures the concentration of dissolved salts and minerals, particularly in saltwater pools. High conductivity indicates high salt content, which affects the overall water balance.
  • Salinity (depending on the model): Measures the concentration of salt in saltwater pools. This is particularly important for pools using saltwater chlorinators, as too much or too little salt can affect the chlorinator’s performance.

Important: Regular monitoring of these parameters ensures that your pool water remains clean, safe, and comfortable for swimmers, while also protecting the pool’s infrastructure.
